WHAT'S HOT

What to wear this spring

The fashion houses and brands showed their Spring/Summer 23 collections in September of 2022 meaning we’ve had plenty of time to put together a list of some of the most recurring trends so you know what styles to go for when you start shopping for your spring wardrobe.

Colors

After a year filled with so much fuchsia – thanks to Mr. Pierpaolo Piccioli and Valentino – this spring is taking a different turn. Cobalt blue is the color of the season and you’d be smart to jump on the trend! Everyone is happily awaiting spring and the return of the sun and this color is a great way to break out of the winter season. You can go all out with a monochrome look or you can dip your toes into the trend with accessories. That’s up to you.

Another color that will be hot this spring season is black – who are we kidding, black’s always in. It’s however an unlikely color for the warmer months! When combined with soft materials like lace or crochet however, you get that glimpse of skin making the color more than appropriate for the season.

Fuchsia might not be the color of the season anymore, but we’re not quite done with the shade – this spring we’re simply going lighter. Candyfloss pink it is! It’s a less intense color and perhaps easier to incorporate with your existing spring wardrobe.

3D flowers

You might have already noticed this trend on some of your favorite celebs and influencers – flowers. Not in the typical way though! 3D flowers have been making their way back on belts and chokers and this spring brands are going all out on clothes as well. The trend is theatrical and not subtle, but if you want to partake in the trend in a more low-key way, you can opt for accessories.

From the boudoir to the street

This spring evening-wear will be even more sexy. We’re talking corsetry, lace and slip dresses – anything that would normally be kept in private.

Another trend that goes hand in hand with this sort of underwear as outerwear, is sheer materials. Models walked down the runway with their underwear on display so it’s safe to say that this spring, nothing is too sexy. If you’re not too keen on putting it all on display, you can choose to layer a sheer shirt or dress atop something else and in that way partake in the sexy trend.

Low waist

The low waist known from the 90s are back. The controversial waist line has hit a new wave of popularity and not just in the shape of jeans. Suits, shorts, skirts – everything this spring will be low waist.

Out-there party bags

The last trend we want to shine a light on is possibly our favorite – festive bags! Sequins and embellishments aren’t just for Christmas as this trend proves. The runways were filled with sparkly and out-there bags in all sorts of colors and shades. If you want to enter spring with all eyes on you, this might just be the way to do it.
